All I know is that I don't like SlipDial *at all*. But I am
too lazy to try and set-up a dialling/interface-attaching
system (made more difficult by Freenet II's SLIP driver as
well). That is why Acornet is so great! I've got FreeDial
somewhere, but never got round to integrating it with my
existing setup...

Yes, I e-mailed him last year to 'complain' about the client
losing or corrupting data. I don't think it's anything to do
with that ftp client though, but a problem with Freenet II
and task-windows. sFTP also suffers from the problem, but
ArcWeb's ftp client doesn't (neither did FreeFTP). I'm
convinced it's task-windows, because other apps which use
them (like FreeSMTP) will sometimes go haywire and suffer
internal errors (after which point, bringing up any
task-window is impossible, and it's best to re-boot).

Ah, yes. Well I'm not too keen on it anyway. I still use
FreeTerm and Demon's telnet ircII client.
